M2, 1X1, OR AS THE FRENSH SAY "UN METRE". A DIMENSION THAT BECAME A REAL ESTATE FETISH. I LIKE TO BELIEVE MY IDENTITY IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A CHEAP FANTASY THOUGH.
I have humankind to thank for my existence. Not only my name is a manmade construct, so is what I am made off. It is their tendency for overconsumption that shapes my look and feel. I am a leftover, a piece of trash.. simply too much for some. Luckily in this collection I’m truly valued for what I am and I’m brought back to life. I like to call myself a Bold square meter with a soul.

What I’m made off
The fact that I was thrown way, says nothing about my qualities. Every 5 of the SQM editions are made of high quality ingredients that will last you a lifetime. My form is shaped by my origins: e-waste, biochar, shattered glass and shavings of high-end super yacht decking solutions,
I am resistant to most things you can imagine. So feel free to dance, jump, run, eat cake on me. Alone or with many. Barefoot, high-heeled, or wearing heavy Dr. Martins. I will carry that burden with pleasure, day in day out.
The fact I didn’t make it to the jetset life says nothing about my qualities, it just means I was originally made by people who believe in abundant material flow. Now I am exactly enough. This is my purpose. Nothing more, nothing less.

Technical properties
The Melt is a 2.4 mm thick seamless floor finishing system based on low-viscous, two component synthetic resins with little odour. The Melt looks flat and rigid and is scratch-resistant. The viscous elastic properties of this floor give The Melt a comfortable feeling. Contact noise is greatly absorbed by The Melt Added Decoflakes give an extra aesthetic dimension and increase wet and dry antislip. The Melt fulfils a decorative function if a choice is made from the wide range of colours and flakes.
